The Solent
messing about on boats has always been a part of my life, though never central to it
My first husband built a sailing dinghy and we had marvellous adventures in the Solent and its estuaries. Later, I ventured further into the English Channel, experiencing a different kind of sailing and a different kind of sea. Latterly we have pottered around the Solent and to Freshwater Bay in a small motor boat and many of the images shown here spring from these day trips, or Jollies.
